Spotlight on Alex Bulkley, Producer & Co-Founder, ShadowMachine Studios


Alex Bulkley is an animation rock star. From his company Shadow Machine’s work on the legendary BoJack Horseman to his current work bringing Tucie & Bertie to life, shepherding wild and wooly projects for Adult Swim, and as a producer on Guillermo Del Toro’s upcoming epic stop-motion animated Pinocchio for Netflix, his impact in media and animation knows no bounds!



Alex Bulkley is an Emmy and Annie award-winning producer and co-founder of SHADOWMACHINE, the acclaimed indie animation studio and production house based in Los Angeles and Portland with a body of work that spans all formats of animation over twenty years including the recent Bojack Horseman (Netflix) and current Final Space (TBS/Adult Swim) and Ten Year Old Tom (HBO). Bulkley is currently producing Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, a stop-motion animated feature film for Netflix, in Portland, Oregon.
