When Twisted Sister got their big break in 1983, they became one of the biggest glam rock bands of the 1980s, drawing sell-out crowds to their live shows and defining early MTV through their outlandish music videos. But the band that killed disco was no overnight success. We Are Twisted F***ing Sister! recounts the wickedly appealing and never-before-told story of the ten grueling years leading up to Twisted Sister’s legendary break, as directly recalled by the band, their managers and their biggest fans. “Very, very, very entertaining. Engrossing. . . often hilarious.”—The Hollywood Reporter.

The Northwest Film Center recognizes and honors the Indigenous peoples of this region on whose ancestral lands the museum now stands. These include the Willamette Tumwater, Clackamas, Kathlemet, Molalla, Multnomah and Watlala Chinook Peoples and the Tualatin Kalapuya who today are part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, and many other Native communities who made their homes along the Columbia River. We also want to recognize that Portland today is a community of many diverse Native peoples who continue to live and work here. We respectfully acknowledge and honor all Indigenous communities—past, present, future—and are grateful for their ongoing and vibrant presence.
