Directed by Gregory Bayne

Idaho 2017 92 mins. In English

Channeling the Coen Brothers, Bayne spins a dark comedic tale of a treasure hunt for a fortune gleaned from a bank robbery in the 1970s. A relative of the deceased bandits dons the outfit of a salesman as he goes from house to house using clues left behind in the book 6 Dynamic Laws for Success, in LIfe, Love & Money. Two women trail him to a recently divorced man who is only all to ready to go along with the scheme. Told in black and white, inter-cutting from the past to present, 6 Dynamic Laws for Success in Life, Love & Money, is a true American tale of unsolved mystery, crime, and romance.

The Northwest Film Center recognizes and honors the Indigenous peoples of this region on whose ancestral lands the museum now stands. These include the Willamette Tumwater, Clackamas, Kathlemet, Molalla, Multnomah and Watlala Chinook Peoples and the Tualatin Kalapuya who today are part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, and many other Native communities who made their homes along the Columbia River. We also want to recognize that Portland today is a community of many diverse Native peoples who continue to live and work here. We respectfully acknowledge and honor all Indigenous communities—past, present, future—and are grateful for their ongoing and vibrant presence.
