Equipment Access

The Film Center’s Equipment Access Program supports the use of media in our community as a means of self-expression and cultural advancement by providing film/video equipment to artist and nonprofit users at subsidized rates. Equipment is also available for commercial productions as availability allows.

Equipment Rental

Download an Equipment Rental Rate sheet for pricing and a list of available items. (Deposit rates can be found here.) To make a reservation, please complete the Rental Request Submission below or make your request in person during regular business hours.

All requests should be made 48 hours in advance of the desired checkout date. A $20 rush fee may be applied if 48 hours advance notice isn’t given. Requests will be confirmed by email.

Edit Station Rental

Facility Rental

Classrooms are available to rent for auditions, rehearsals, production meetings and private screenings. Inquire about facility rentals via the form below.

The Equipment Room is located inside Northwest Film Center’s admin offices.

Edit Station Reservation

Please indicate your editing station reservation request below. All facility and space rentals are charged per hour, unless otherwise listed. Any Super 8 or 16mm film projectors must be used on-site at the Northwest Film Center. Rental includes equipment and space access. A cleaning fee may be added when a room is not returned to the state it was checked out in. This is only a reservation request. Equipment Room staff with contact you by email to confirm your reservation.

Edit Station Declaration of Responsibility

I can demonstrate that I have a working knowledge of the software or equipment I plan to use, as well how to handle the media that I have brought into the Northwest Film Center to edit. Rental rate includes access to the computer station only. Technical support from Equipment Room staff is limited to non-enrolled Northwest Film Center students. Data storage is not a service offered by the Northwest Film Center.

Deposit

A deposit for the full amount of the equipment up to $1,000 is required for every rental. The deposit must be made with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card with a sufficient limit to accept the full amount of the deposit. The deposit is made in the form of an Authorization Hold or Pending Transaction, which holds the amount of the deposit for 3-7 business days, dependent on your financial institution’s policies. Cash is also an acceptable form of deposit. *Renters with production insurance may add the Northwest Film Center as a loss payee in lieu of deposit.
