Dan Schaefer is a concept artist, art director and producer who has contributed to film and television productions for nearly 30 years. His projects include animation (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” television series), advertising campaigns (BMW, Adidas, Nike, Intel, HP, IBM), feature films (Disney, NBC/Universal, MGM, Lions Gate, Paramount) and the television shows “Leverage”,”Librarians “(TNT), “Grimm” (NBC), “Here and Now”(HBO), and “American Vandal”(Netflix). He has worked as a pre-visualization artist with Gus Van Sant (Paranoid Park, To Each His Own Cinema, Milk), Guillermo Arriga (The Burning Plain) and Ellory Elkayam (Without a Paddle 2). Locally, he has served as storyboard artist for Tara Johnson-Medinger’s My Summer as a Goth, Chel White’s Bucksville and Beth Harrington’s upcoming The Musicianer. He has also directed and produced a number of feature length documentaries: Mania, which premiered at the NW Filmmakers’ Festival, Kings of the Road, Figaro and, most recently, The House by the Side of the Road.
