NEW – Write Your Own Web Series

January 23, 2018 — April 3, 2018

Tuesdays | 6:30-9:30 p.m. | 10 Sessions (No Class March 27)

Release your inner showrunner!  The web series is a viable (and inexpensive) platform for showing off your storytelling talent.  These online narratives require only a camera, a great idea and a YouTube or Vimeo account (the big name talent and ‘production deal’ can come later). This class is Ground Zero for the writing of your own doable series.  Starting with character and concept, you will learn how to write an attention-grabbing pilot and map out an entire “season” consisting of 8-10 webisodes of approximately 5 minutes each.  You will originate a series “bible,” develop story and character arcs, create cliffhangers, and plot an exciting season-ending climax.  The end goal will be to complete ready-to-shoot scripts for a pilot and at least two additional webisodes.
