Working with Actors for Women

October 2, 2017 — October 23, 2017

Mondays | 6:30-9:30 p.m. | 4 Sessions

Instructor: Alissa Jessup

Location: Classes & Admin Offices

Let go of the idea that as a film or new media director you have to know everything. Learn to trust your instincts and realize that actors are your playmates and collaborators. Whether you are new to directing or have been doing it for years, this experiential class for female-identifying individuals will strengthen your confidence in collaborating with talent and help to deepen your craft. As a participant, you will actively engage with professional actors each week (provided) as you work out scenes together and receive supportive individual feedback, notes and adjustments. In this welcoming and safe environment, learning and empowerment will come from doing, observing and engaging in the work of others. Bring your own scenes to work on, or use provided material.
