Flying logos, character animations, and motion backgrounds can add flair to any presentation or video project. In this course, which follows introductory-level After Effects Fundamentals, you will refresh your After Effects skills and move into more advanced level techniques for titling, animation, and layer control using freely available assets, filters, and expressions.  This class is ideal if you already have a short project in the rough edit stage or beyond, but will also be helpful if you wish to gain further software skills in anticipation of your next project. We’ll alternative between lecture/demo and open time for you to try out techniques with instructor support and feedback. Time outside of class is helpful for further work on assignments, up to two hours a week.

  • Intermediate level motion graphics (titles)
  • Animation tools
  • Making mattes
  • Incorporating footage into graphics

Tuition includes access to Film Center Edit Lab (Mac). You will need your own personal Mac formatted external hard drive (specs will be provided after registration).
