Digital Cinematography for Teens
February 10, 2018 — March 10, 2018
Saturdays | 1 - 4 p.m. | 5 Sessions
Location: Classes & Admin Offices
Develop your creative eye and gain confidence as an image-maker while learning about the technology and artistry of cinematography. This is a hands-on class that uses our compact, professional Canon XA10 camcorders, the same camera used by our adult classes. We’ll start by learning the basics of exposure, focal length and depth of field, and then experiment with different approaches to shot composition, foreground and background, and camera movement. We’ll design, set up and shoot practice scenes using available light and then vary the mood and quality with Lowell light kits. Everyone will be able to take a camera home for the last week to shoot a project of their own.
Tuition includes all equipment and supplies. No pre-requisites.
Enrollment Limit: 15.
Scholarships are available for our Kids and Teens classes. For more information and to apply, click here and read about Tuition Assistance.
