Art & Beer: Throw a Six Pack on It
November 4, 2017 — November 4, 2017
Saturday | 2 p.m.-5 p.m.
Instructor: Stephanie Hough
The images on an exposed roll of Super 8mm film stock are waiting to come out, and a film processing solution made of beer is going to do the trick. Drink a cold one as the drama unfolds, from loading the film tanks to seeing what materializes when the brewed footage is projected. Films to be processed include works made during the Northwest Filmmakers Summit event “Moving Picture Oregon” in which five different film collectives will shoot a roll of Super 8mm film with inspiration taken from a work in the museum’s “Picturing Oregon” exhibit.
Part of the Portland Art Museum’s Art & Beer: Pitchering Oregon event on Saturday, November 4th taking place in the Kridell Ballroom of the Museum’s Mark Building.
The beer film processing will be ongoing between 2pm and 5pm. Attendees are welcome to come see what’s developing at any point during that time.
Free with admission to Art & Beer: Pitchering Oregon.
