July 27, 2020 – July 31, 2020

MON-FRI | 8:45 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Instructor: Iris Young

Location: Classes & Admin Offices

Transport yourself and the characters in your imagination to vast universes using iPads, green screens and stop motion animation technology.  You’ll create your own storylines in small groups, experimenting with different storytelling techniques. Then, using sets, props and costumes of your own creation, you can act out your adventures live action style in front of the camera or you can animate them stop motion style, frame by frame. (Want to do both?  Go for it!) Along the way you’ll learn how filmmakers use camera angles, sound effects and editing to tell stories and how film crews work together to achieve great results. The class culminates at 2:30 on Friday with a free family screening, complete with popcorn. Your projects will be uploaded to a class online video album for sharing with friends and family so you can keep on video voyaging!

Tuition includes all equipment and supplies.

Technology: Apple iPads, iMovie software, Canon SL1 cameras with Dragonframe software

Enrollment limit: 14.
