June 29, 2020 – July 2, 2020
The first step in making any movie is writing the screenplay. But scripts don’t write themselves and this class teaches you how.
In four action-packed afternoons you’ll learn the basics of screenwriting including proper format, story and plot construction, character creation
and dialogue. With vigorous instructor feedback, you’ll work on getting those crazy, scary, hilarious, brilliant ideas out of your head and onto the page.
The end goal is for you to have completed a 5-6 page camera-ready script. The last day of this lab-style class will be spent making your work come alive as we workshop scenes and perform live table reads.
Creativity and collaboration are a must!
