Submission to the 44th Northwest Filmmakers’ Festival is free via our online entry form below.

Entry Information
Eligibility: Permanent residents of Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington may submit two works of any length or genre released since January 1, 2015. Student entries (college and university only) must be from a school located in the Northwest.

All submissions must be received no later than August 5, 2017. Please email if you have questions about the submission process.

Notification and Entry Return
We will notify all filmmakers of the status of their work via e-mail by October 1, 2017.

The Northwest Film Center recognizes and honors the Indigenous peoples of this region on whose ancestral lands the museum now stands. These include the Willamette Tumwater, Clackamas, Kathlemet, Molalla, Multnomah and Watlala Chinook Peoples and the Tualatin Kalapuya who today are part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, and many other Native communities who made their homes along the Columbia River. We also want to recognize that Portland today is a community of many diverse Native peoples who continue to live and work here. We respectfully acknowledge and honor all Indigenous communities—past, present, future—and are grateful for their ongoing and vibrant presence.
