2016 Topdown: Rooftop Cinema

How often can you say that you’ve enjoyed watching a movie under the setting summer sun, leading you through an engaging story and into the backdrop of the beautiful Portland skyline? Join us for the 12th annual film festival under the stars, the 2016 Top Down: Rooftop Cinema.

Already, the premiere of the festival’s first film, Edward D. Wood’s Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959), followed by a sold out Raising Arizona (1987) kicked the series off to an undoubtedly excellent start. Atop the Hotel deLuxe’s parking structure at SW 15th and Yamhill, viewers are welcomed by live bands or DJs from XRAY.fm. The abundance of food and beverage options include Gracie’s, Aladdin’s Café, Brass Tacks Sandwiches, and Sierra Nevada Brewing Company
